Junior Coffee Crew Member - Part Time

As a coffee crew member, you will work in different areas of the business. This includes working in our retail part of the store as well as the coffee roasting production area.

In our retail area you will:

- Take orders from customers in a friendly and welcoming attitude. As a Cloudland Crew member, you will be engaging with our customers and providing our customers with a great experience during their visit at our retail store or our coffee stand at the Alpharetta Farmers Market.

-Make customers drinks and prepare their orders. This includes making espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, matcha, cold brew, frozen drinks and any seasonal drinks. (Don't worry, we'll teach you if you don't know how to make them.)

- Keep our store clean, organized and well stocked. 

You will also be rotating Saturdays with other crew members working at the Alpharetta Farmers Market. At the Alpharetta Farmers Market you will help with setting up, making drinks, taking orders and the breaking down. This is a very fun and busy event that occurs from 7:30am - 1:00pm April - November. There will be some hot days and cold days, so you will need to dress appropriately for those days. 

In our production area you will:

- Help package our roasted coffee, k-cups and cold brew for our wholesale accounts and stores.

- Keep our production area clean, organized and well stocked.

Our current hours for working range from 7:30am - 2:30pm Mon-Sat. and we will work with you in getting a set schedule that works for you. Also we are seriously thinking about extending our hours to 5:00 pm Mon-Fri and opening Sundays at the store and at an outdoor pop-up at Crave Pie in Alpharetta starting Memorial Day and through the summer. Pay ranges $10-$12 plus tips, pay based on experience.

Requirements:

- You must be 16 years old or older and have reliable transportation. 

- Previous coffee experience is not required but is helpful. This also includes and previous food service experience.

- You MUST like and drink coffee, no exceptions.

Senior Coffee Crew Member - Part Time

As a senior coffee crew member, you will be working in different areas of our business with more responsibilities than the junior crew members. They have the same work requirements as the junior crew members in the retail, farmers market and production. Additionally, the senior crew members help the owner manage and oversee the day-to-day operations amongst our location, our coffee roasting operations and online fulfillment. They maintain all standard operating procedures and foster a positive working environment. Candidates should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, while maintaining a strong representation of community and brand awareness. The senior coffee crew member should be someone with a passion for excellence, detail oriented, operations focused, and great organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the owner on all operational activities including the coffee roasting, inventory management, procurement, shipping and cafe operations
  • Actively assists with the cafe/roastery facility including online orders and wholesale program
  • Maintains cafe and roastery records
  • Maintains blend recipes, roast profiles, and all required parameters
  • Assist with menu development and implementation
  • Ensures the café is consistently meeting or exceeding the highest standards of quality in every drink and food item served
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: opening and closing procedures, and POS procedures
  • Help to organize and lead the Alpharetta Farmers market during the market season as well as any coffee-based community or educational events, held within or outside of the store
  • Be knowledgeable on all products offered, including coffee rotations, origins, and attributes.
  • Be knowledgeable in allergens
  • Work with owner to maintain company-wide strategies
  • Maintains and supports a clean and safe working environment for all team members
  • Uses judgment and discretion to resolve less routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to the owner
  • Ensures all team members provide hospitable and exemplary service that exceed our guests’ expectations and creates an experience for all who come through the front door
  • Ensures that all recipes and procedures are adhered to consistently and at the highest quality
  • Have a positive, engaging attitude with customers, especially during times of high-volume

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 year old or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Have or must obtain Serv-Safe Certification within 60 days
  • Previous retail, café, restaurant, or coffee shop experience
  • Well-organized, detailed oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Must have open availability including Saturdays and special events as needed. Our current hours for working range from 7:00am - 2:30pm Mon-Sat.   • Proficient on a computer; familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Drive
  • Must have effective problem solving/decision-making abilities
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Pay ranges $12-$15 plus tips, pay based on experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing and movement of product throughout the day by physically lifting, up to 65lbs
